Can I pay my bill online?

 

Yes.  By clicking on the "MY ACCOUNT" button in the upper right corner and then signing in, you can pay your bill or change any billing preferences anytime.  Your account is set up for you when your internet account is activated.  Your username is the email address we have on file.  If you do not know your password, please click on the "lost password" button and it will email you a link to reset your password.​​

 

How does Legacy High Speed Internet service work?

The equipment Legacy uses is considered "Fixed Wireless".  An antenna similar to the one pictured below will be installed on your roof with an attached radio receiver/transmitter.  The antenna is required to have a line of sight to one of our towers.  The mounting type/location of the antenna will vary depending on location of your house in relation to the tower, terrain and other factors.  The installation technician will be glad to go over with you all available mounting options while onsite.  Once the equipment has been mounted, a Cat-5 cable will be ran from the antenna to a predetermined location inside the house.  This location will be where your router will sit, it is recommended that this be as centralized as possible to provide even wifi coverage throughout the house.
 

Does weather affect my service?

Generally weather will not affect your service, although you may experience temporary loss of service or slow speeds during heavy, severe rain and thunderstorms. If you lose power to your house, your internet will not work as it requires electricity to operate.  If your house is struck my lightning, or you get a heavy power surge, it is likely that some devices could be damaged.  Legacy recommends that you have all electronic devices plugged into a surge protector to help prevent any damage.

 

How long will the installation of service take?

Typically an installation takes less than 2 hours.  Of course this can vary due to each installation being unique in placement of the antenna and cabling.  Our installers can give you a more accurate estimate at the time of installation. 

 

Does Legacy control my usage or have data caps?

No.  Legacy does not control your usage.  We do not turn your speeds way down or charge you additional monthly fees if you cross some predetermined amount.  Use it as much as you want, when you want.

 

How do I connect multiple devices to the connection?

Legacy will install a single Ethernet jack inside your home at a place of your choice.  Most routers will allow for 4 hardwired devices to be plugged in at any given time.  Wirelessly, you can connect as many devices as you have.

 

Does Legacy provide the router needed for me to have wifi throughout my house?

 

Legacy can provide a router for an additional $7.00/mo.  This router comes with a lifetime warranty and replacement.  The customer can also provide their own router and one of our technicians would be glad to configure it for you while onsite.  Broadband routers can be purchased at any electronic store, including Best Buy and Walmart.  Common brands are Netgear, TP-Link, Linksys and D-Link.

 

Does Legacy have any long-term contracts?

 

No.  Legacy is completely contract free, with a simple 30 day notice you can cancel or suspend service at anytime.
